Arkas Holding and its group companies continue to work to heal the wounds of the earthquake disaster and deliver them to those in need quickly.


The aid campaign that Arkas initiated with its group companies and volunteers from the first day of the earthquake continues to create more permanent solutions for earthquake victims in the medium term.

Arkas, which took action to heal the wounds of the earthquake disaster that caused heavy destruction in Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Malatya, Osmaniye, Kilis, Adana, Şanlıurfa and Diyarbakır, where approximately 13.5 million of our citizens live, and to support the re-establishment of a life, will consist of 1000 containers in total. started to work to establish “Container Villages” in different locations.

At the first stage, it is planned to complete the production and furnishing of 350 container houses, which will be built on two separate lands in Kahramanmaraş, where infrastructure arrangements and all permit procedures have been completed, and will be allocated to earthquake victims within two months. Arkas' Marport company undertook the construction of 200 container houses to be built in the first phase. Land surveys and feasibility studies are also continuing for the continuity of the project, which is called Arkas Life Centers. In the two-room container houses in the living centers in question, every detail is planned for the earthquake victims to live a comfortable life with all the interior furnishings, infrastructure, landscaping and social areas.


On the other hand;

Arkas Logistics, which started to transport aid materials prepared according to urgent and priority needs to the earthquake region with the coordination of AFAD from the first day, has so far shipped 79 truck aid materials and 16 truck life containers to the regions. While 100 tents were built and delivered to the regions, 2000 heaters were shipped to Iskenderun.

Taking action due to the congestion on the highway and to deliver more relief supplies at once, Arkas Logistics carried out the transport of 20 aid containers, consisting of 10 wagons, prepared according to the AFAD emergency needs list, from Derince to Iskenderun by rail, within the scope of TCDD cooperation.

Arkas Logistics; In cooperation with Arkpet, transporting 30 thousand liters of diesel oil from Derince to the Turkish Red Crescent in Hatay, transporting containers equipped with a 4-bed capacity, heated, generator cabin, air compressor, mobile electric, freight elevator to the earthquake zone, reefer with the feature of keeping the temperature constant It also continues to transport in different modes with its fast and solution-oriented approach according to the needs of the Earthquake Zone, such as hot food being sent from Istanbul to Gaziantep and Hatay with its containers.


In addition to delivering the needs to the region, kitchens were set up in two separate regions in Hatay with the support of Arkas Volunteers.


While Arkas Holding makes a great effort to deliver all support to earthquake victims in coordination with the crisis desk it has established, the kitchens established in two separate districts in Hatay, Arsuz and Defne, continue to provide and serve food for three thousand people three times a day.

In the mobile kitchen in Arsuz, with the cooperation of Hatay Arsuz Municipality and İzmir Cooks Association, three meals a day hot meal and soup are served 24 hours a day in Çadırkent (Next to Ayla Naci Uyar Anatolian High School).

Hot meals prepared in the kitchen established in Defne, where Kristal Oils also supplies products, are delivered to the surrounding villages by Arkas Volunteers with the vehicle support of Arkas Automotive.


We stand by our earthquake survivors living in the region

Arkas also works to meet the needs of earthquake survivors working in the region. All Arkas Human Resources managements contacted the employees working in these regions one by one and received information about the damage assessment and the status of their relatives. It continues its support efforts in this direction.

Arkas garages, warehouses and tow trucks in Mersin, Gaziantep and Iskenderun were opened for Arkas personnel and their families, making them social accommodation and accommodation areas. Three meals a day are regularly provided to Arkas employees and their relatives staying in these regions. Working on permanent solutions to accommodation needs.

In the following process; Arkas will continue to closely monitor the needs in disaster areas and work in coordination with relevant public institutions and organizations to meet these needs, so that the wounds of the region can be healed after the debris removal works and earthquake victims can participate in the flow of daily life.
