Arkas Holding was founded in Izmir in 1902 by Gabriel J.B. Arcas. Lucien Gabriel Arcas, who started his career in the company named "Gabriel J.B Arcas Successor Lucien Gabriel Arcas", was introduced to the maritime sector in 1944 when he established a maritime agency in his own name. In 1964, Lucien Arkas, who today serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arkas Holding, took over as the third generation representative.
Arkas, which has been in existence since the early 1900s until today, operates in many fields such as logistics services integrated with maritime, land, rail and air transportation, agency services, ship management, port management, refueling, automotive, insurance services, information systems and cruise tourism.
